Bass recordings Day 2

Day two. We got a really killer bass sound. I don't ever remember getting so good bass sound
out of Jari before. The equipment is the same.
This studio really is a cool place and the recordings are going smoothly. Yesterday we were in
sauna and had a nice and long sleep and today have worked on more bass tracks. All going as planned.
We feel a bit weird for some reason because it is going so well. Attached find some pics, maybe this
feeling is visible in the graphic format.

PS.  I am more and more convinced that Jari "what's the next song"Kainulainen is an alien. -t

Greetings from the bass recordings

Arrived to Redhouse Studio in Helsinki couple of hours ago. Jari forgot his bass home and he is using a pizza shovel to play the tracks. They look the same to me.
I took some pics with iPhone and upon closer looking it's evident that Jari is an alien. He has six fingers.
This is a nice place, has sauna as well. We recorded bass for that demotape here too.

      Cheers, J & T

Recording Bass

Picking up my buddy Jari tomorrow evening at the Helsinki airport. Finnair is still on strike since a week.
We're gonna record his bass tracks, which in Strato usually took just a day or two. Let's see how it goes this time. The song material sounds very promising at this point. Andre is working on melodies and lyrics while we are doing the bass tracks.
We keep you posted, as usual, with this blog.

Cheers,Timo

Drums finished, Jari's bass

Drum recordings finished with very nice results. Had a great time with Uli and Ronny of Saint Deamon who was helping in producing the drums and has a wonderful but sick sense of humor.
In fact, it turned out that also the studio owner is a drummer, so I was surrounded by three drummers!!
There was not much need to edit Uli's drums, they sound really good.
Now we are preparing for recording Jari's bass in Helsinki. Trying to get the first documentary "making
of" asap online about Uli's drumrecordings.

2nd Drumrecording Day

Greetings from the Studio Mega in Varberg Sweden. Here are some pics from the studio, its surroundings (this really IS in the middle of nowhere). Uli Kusch recorded drums for 5 songs in one day which I have never seen during my producer career. Amazingly powerful and precise drumtracks.
It's pretty cold still in here but everything is going really smoothly. We have a great drumsound and the studio is really great. The songs work and the atmosphere is really positive.

Cheers! -Timo
